Gravely Promaster 44Z Hydro bypass valve lever question.

The other day I replaced my Hydro oil filter filling it up before installing it, and I inadvertently removed the bypass valves on both pumps, removing some of the oil up to the level of where to bypass valve plugs are located. (as shown in the photos below)

My question is, can I just fill the Hydraulic Tank and just loosen up a bit the bypass valve plugs a little, and then cycle the control levers forward and backward two or three times until the oil starts to leak out a little from the...

Mower doesn’t seem as powerful

Hey guys,
I have a 2003 Bobcat Walk behind. FH500V Kawasaki. I bought it about 6 years ago and I have no clue how many hours it has. I only put about 70 hours a year on it.

It seems like it doesn’t have as much power anymore. It doesn’t cut tall grass as good as it once did and it isn’t as fast as it used to be. I do regular maintenance on it (oil changes, filters and such).

Do you think the mower is just getting old and losing power? I did a compression test and and it read 70 psi on...

Broken bolt problem

I have a broken bolt on recoil housing on a Scag 36 inch walk behind hydro. Will this affect the engine of I run it? What would or could happen if I ran it? What is the fix for this? Thanks.

but without plug / carb / muffler mounted it pulls very smoothly . and with everything on but spark plug it pulls but stiffer than should be . but with everything on it barely barely pulls ? oiled rings / piston with 2 cycle before assembly . and pulled normally with old rings on it .

The only picture I could find, NOT intended as an ad for this place.... View attachment 395797 Carlisle are 4ply and expensive. Bought some Deestone tires that were 6ply and loved them. John Deere 797 Z Track Wont Start - Completely Dead

Hi guys,

I’m out on a station trying to get a John Deere 797 Z Track started. I was here a month ago and ordered a new starter solenoid as the ride on wasn’t starting but just clicking - ignition system was still working from the key (would light up).

I’ve recently got back and installed the new solenoid but now the ignition key is not working (no lights at all) and when the solenoid is shorted between the two terminals it does not click. What is weird is that the machines electrics will...

Toro Timecutter 4225 Zero Turn Lawn Mower

This problem has been going on for a long time with this mower. I went out this afternoon to start my mower, it fired right up. Then I moved the levers to the front and it stalls. Then when I go to start at up again....nothing no click...no nothing. When it has happened before...I have waited till the next day and go start it right up and this time I mow for about 2 hours...finish up the lawn clean it put it away. Any ideas!

Anyone done this? The top shaft with the fan has slight side to side play. Im not sure what it is but im guessing bearing failure. Any one done a bearing replacement on a hydrogear 3100? Help!

2013 scag v ride problem need help?

2013 scag v ride 26 hp Kawasaki it starts super easy and runs great, as soon as you put lever into drive and take the brake off and start mowing forward it almost feels like the brakes are still locked down but they are not. But once the levers get about half way down or full speed no issues just seems like brakes are locked at the start of mowing, no leaks or anything, thanks

Briggs 850 Pro engine....increase revs

Anyone familiar with the latest 850 Professional engine? It produce 3000rpm which isnt enough for the mower its mounted to (Victa MSV567). The earlier version had a tab that could be bent to increase the revs but this one seems to have a different carby.....any ideas?

When riding My p-zt 48 for over an hour recently I stopped the engine to get a cold drink. The engine had not even cooled when I attempted to restart. I have checked and rechecked the seat kill switch and even rigged it so no false kills occur. There is plenty of fuel, the fuel line is 'on'. Any fuses I have been able to find are not blown. How to purge Zspray Hydro?

I have an older Zspray I think its from 2010ish? I had the local shop go through it replace/fix/clean up anything and everything. One of the things they did was replace the hydraulic oil. It really has some lag time when I operate it now not as touchy as it should be. Honestly, I haven't used it more than 2 minutes getting it in the trailer. Guy at the shop said I may have to drive it around and get it to automatically purge itself any thoughts?

Tuff Torq 10SA Pump

Need some help. Have a 48 in. C.C. Recon with a bad pump. Tuff Torq telling me they have parts but can't sell them and to call O.E.M. They tell me they have no parts diagram to give me numbers for what I need. 2 brass head plates and upper and lower gasket.

DUP 10SA pump w/ s.n. 105SA003282

Feel like I'm getting the run-a-round and they just want to sell me the pump.

Any help appreciated.

Last season the blower was working just fine on one property and at the next won't start. It has new: plug, carb, fuel filter and lines. It has good spark and it's getting fuel. Just in case it wasn't I sprayed a flammable substance into the intake. Exhaust isn't restricted and it makes no difference if it's off or on. Hey guys,

Hope y'all are all doing well and haven't caught the "Corona". I think my clutch has finally bit the dust. When I pull the yellow knob the clutch whines for a bit and then finally engages. It does this at at throttle positions except it does swine as much in full throttle. Once engaged it cuts well. Every once in a while when i hit some high grass it will do the same thing and then when i am back in the short grass it will reengage.

Do y'all agree that my clutch is probably going...

Eclip installation issues on wheel swap

Hey All

anyone have issues installing their eclip / e-clip back onto their mower after taking off the wheel?

I’m having a heck of a time after removing my wheel to replace my brake bands and getting the eclip to set into that groove. There are two washers that sit between the wheel and the clip and it’s dang near impossible to get that clip installed.

Any tips or tricks? I’ve used a pair of pliers to get the clip off, now do I need a tool to get the clip back on? I’m tempted to remove...
