I have a JD 657a with an extremely weak left side. I’m suspecting it’s that side of the hydraulic pump. I’m looking for someone who can rebuilt it. Who do you guys recommend I send it out to if it needs rebuilt?

Also, how would I go eliminating any other issues that can possibly cause one side to run extremely weak? Do I need to troubleshoot the motor on that side? If so, how do I go about doing it? Should I do a fresh oil and filter change and see if things change before pulling out the...

Dixie chopper Hydro oil change

Did a search and couldn’t find any info other than take it to the dealer. Our local dealer is not one I do business with due to poor reputation so I’ll be doing my own work. Just bought a xt3300 2006 model. To change the hydro oil, do you drain from oil filters or take the hose fitting off coming from reservoir to drain then remove filter to keep it clean. (Pic 4). They didn’t seem to make hydro oil changes very easy but engine has a remote hose to drain.

Broken Cooling Fan Fins on Kawasaki FX651V

I've got an unusual problem - the fins on the cooling fan keep breaking off on my Kawasaki FX651V. This started happening when I first pulled my mower out to get it ready for this season. The first time it happened, I figured something may have gotten caught inside the fan shroud but I found no evidence of the fan hitting anything while rotating the engine by hand. The only picture I could find, NOT intended as an ad for this place.... View attachment 395797 Carlisle are 4ply and expensive. Bought some Deestone tires that were 6ply and loved them. The new comer I am looking at is Million Part tires. Cannot find the manufacturer or any test on them. Wonder if anyone here is familiar with that brand. Flat Free Semi-Pneumatic Tire Mounting

Hello, I've become interested in mounting flat free semi-pneumatic tires on the front of my Hustler - it takes a 13x6.5-6 tire. I have seen the pre-assembled wheel/tire setups but I can't help but wonder about the bearings and overall quality of the setup. However, I see Carlisle makes a tire they call Reliance and I trust that brand. It's a reasonable price I think.

But then it becomes a question of mounting it.

I have spoken to a couple OPE shops around me and none of them seem to have...

Storing small engine equipment for winter

Hi guys,

I run ethanol free fuel in all my small engine equipment. Specifically, my echo blower, Stihl trimmer and Honda mower all have either VP fuel or Red Armour in them.

Do I need to drain them dry or add Sta-bil for winter storage or just fill them up and let them sit?

What would you advise?

Stihl br600 no compression

I tried to rebuild a stihl br600 engine I got from a unit I bought that didnt run. I installed new crank bearings and seals. the valves look almost new and are clean, installed new rings, honed the cylinder. checked the valve clearance. cam gear is ok. installed new spark plug. when I turn the flywheel it doesnt seem to barely have any compression. when I cover the exhaust port with my thumb the compression is good. what would cause it to not have compression when everything looks like it...

Buying a mower that's been sitting outside for months

it's a 30" exmark commercial. Not 100% clear if mower has been outside total duration nor where he exactly he stores it all the time. But hypotheticlally, if he did leave it outside, should I steer away from this? I worry something is rusted inside and brittle, but that's me being anxious on 2 hours of sleep. Can't really think straight right now but for $400 for this mower is a steal. He did mention he had trouble starting it this morning, but his mechanic is gonna replace/clean the carb...

09 walker md

Last week had some overheating issues with my walker md, come to find out it was a bad relay to the fan, after this I made sure everything was cleaned ,lube , and fluids are all good. Today ran it for about 30 mins and the water light came on , radiator is full, and temp never got over 180. But now when I go to start and run it the water light is constant and alarm is always on, If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it , thank you

Kubota g1900 won't turn over

Have a Kubota g1900 diesel that won't turn over. I have tried to jump it but no start, tried to put direct electrical currency from the battery to the starter. Nothing. I replaced the starter and still nothing so the starter is good. All of the lights and dashboard lights works and it still makes the clicking sound as usual when turning the key. The battery is fully charged also.

Really dont know what to do at this point
Any help is well appreciated.

Ferris fw35 transmission fluid change

Looking to change the fluid in the transmission of my Ferris FW35 mower. It has the hydro gear 3100 transmission.
I read online to use "SAE 20w50 conventional detergent" motor oil. I get all of that except the detergent part, never heard oil described like that.

Good afternoon all
I have a 2016 Toro with a 7.25 Briggs and Stratton engine
Numbers I can find are. mfg #. 128M02-0017-F1. Serial # 16 04 12 58 67147. CD 190cc 382651
This machine runs Great, starts right up but after its warmed up, when I empty the grass bag It will not start until after about 10 or more minuits. I did the seasonal tune up.. Plug, air cleaner, oil, gas. I took off all the plastic and metal off to wash and degrease the engine. I have even changed the ignition coil...

left side is strong forward motion but right side can't keep up. Found very few particles in bottom of oil tank. Took apart bdl-10l 117p hydro pump apart and could only find one slight scuff on small passage way. Everything else was seem to be fine. Oil looked really good except for the few particles picked up with magnet. The tiger is 21 years old with 1100 hours. changed oil 60 hrs. ago. Hate to buy a motor or pump to find out that may not be the problem. Which one is more likely to give...

Bad Vibration Stihl FS55

I use FS91-R, but my dad has an FS55 for his yard. I was messing with it the other day and noticed that it idled kinda rough. Not irregular, just seemed to go up and down too hard and kinda jerked in my hands. I thought maybe it was just idling low and needed a carb adjustment, but when I held the throttle down it ran just fine, but vibrated so hard I almost had trouble hanging onto it. Thoughts?

I have an 08’ intermediate Zspray.. running today.. did a lawn, got to the next one and nothing.. like the battery was dead or not getting a good connection.. terminals are clean, tried a jump pack.. even a different battery, nothing.. there is a 30 amp inline fuse that appears to be good..any help, tips or tricks are greatly appreciated

I was on YouTube and stumbled across a video on a striker cam for v twin engines. I believe that they are no longer in production but that the company, Midwest super cub, makes other engine upgrades like two barrel intakes. Although not as cool as the crank idea, I still think it’s pretty cool and I’m thinking about getting one. It comes with the carb and it’s around $163. I hope is still in production because it says it’s sold out and I don’t know for how long. What do you guys think?...
