Used "search"/ no luck Kawi LC 26.5 starter bendix

While using my mower to blow the grass off of my (long) driveway, the engine above labored hard for about 2 sec and then died. The starter would not operate after that.

I found the fuse that goes to the starter shot, and replaced it (25 A). The engine fired right up after that w/no unusual noises, but again died after 2 sec. This time the fuse was still good after the engine died.

I have now found a relay ( haven't yet looked to see what it goes to) that is whining and vibrating and...
