Help ID These Please

Below are two pics of two different engines.First pic is a 14 HP Kawasaki with a FC420V motor. The other is a 23 HP Kawasaki with the FH680V motor. You will see right near the oil filter in both pics,circled in red,are two 5 mm allen bolts on both motors.

Does anyone know what these are for? Are they oil pressure ports?
