Great Dane zero turn seems to have charging system issues

MY Great Dane after 2 hrs of running seems to run battery down
I've replaced stater and rectifier and battery key switch and pto switch
Looking for advice
Also how does electrical system work
Seems posi cable from battery runs to starter
How does system charge battery ?
Has a 25 kaw twin
