Echo speed feed head crossthreads

I got a Stihl fs90r and an echo speedfeed head. I tried the gold nut, but it cross treaded on both heads (I returned the first one cause I thought it was defective) I also tried the green nut on the first head but it wobbled all over.

Is there something I missed or have you guys had the same problems?
