Sharpening blades the right way

I'm new to doing blades myself. I bought a Bradley blade sharpener, however, holding a consistent angle appears to be a significant challenge. Are there any tricks or ways i can make the process easier? Because right now i am struggling, and i believe it is taking a toll on my clients lawns, they havent been looking all that crisp and clean lately.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!
