Exmark lazer z hp 44" zero turn / LHP4418 kc steering issue

I recently purchased a lazer z hp 44" with 451 hours.
my concern is the steering arms do not line up when seated - steering is functional
and the hydros seem strong
when seated and you pull the arms in to maneuver and begin to push forward they are off by about 5 inches with the right arm being 5" out front of the left arm
I have looked up an online manual and found a section on motion control linkage adjustment but i am not even sure if that is the issue.
