Seeping from bowl gasket

so i have 2 carbs seeping from bold gaskets after cleaning.
Carb 1
new needle and seat
new bowl gasket

carb 2
cleaned
o-ring gasket

just frustrating, I'm fairly continent the needle and seats are working good. I just think fuel is seeping up and around the fuel bowl, possibly due to a bad gasket/seal around the bowl, almost like a sponge affect. Is this possible?

I have some Fuel Gasket Dressing and Sealant, should i try a thin coat of this?
