Howdy folks,
I have this early Toro 26682 with "no start - no spark". I expect that the coil is bad, but would like to confirm before making this expensive purchase. The lead to ground reads low resistance ( about 2 ohms ) regardless of the throttle position. I've confirmed that the wire is not pinched between the coil and the throttle cutoff switch.
This seems like an odd way for a coil to fail. Can anyone comment on this? Is a wiring diagram available?
