Hey guys...
I have a two-year-old 8500 blower;
Blower runs fantastic, won't shut down.
all the wiring and switch test good. the coil itself has failed; the internal pole that would short itself to ground has no continuity to the hot side of the coil.
Shorting this pole (tab) to ground will stop the engine.
I swapped the coils with a known good one and solved the issue...
Anyone know if redmax would warranty this? I'm down a blower and the coils are $80...
Any help is...
Redmax 8500... internal 'kill' circuit failed... possible warranty?
