I have an older Ryobi 780r string trimmer. It started losing power. I adjusted the carburetor and it ran better but right then I noticed that it leaked a lot of oil (out of the crankcase, I beleive). And I was also smelling raw gas when it ran.
After messing with it a bit more (taking the back cover off, attempting to tighten the head screws), it started running rough, especially when you first start it, and I noticed a couple of small sparks coming out of the starter housing....
