Replacement Scag vride wheel motor Don't Fit

Got a wheel motor P/N 483388 thru scag and it is tooo large? The one in machine is 3" diameter and new one is 3.5" diameter. Bolt holes don't match up. This is 48" ....Anybody run into this?
