Vanguard 16 hp blown head gasket?

I have Grasshopper 616 with a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard 16 HP. It has ran fine this year up until last week when it had no power like it was starving for air. The air cleaner was soaked with oil. The mower ran as normal without the air cleaner but choked out when put it back on.
First diagnosis is a blown head gasket. But is there a way to tell for sure it is head gasket an nothing more severe?
compression test shows 105 in cylinder 1 and 110 in cylinder 2, does that tell me anything?
