Slight oil consumption kohler ch25s

I did an oil change on my kohler ch25s with a little over 1k hours. I have put 9 hours on it since. I noticed in the corner of one of my valave covers had a little oily residue. I pulled the dipstick and noticed the oil level was slighty below full. I added a little under .125 of a quart of that and it brought it back up to full.
