Blades cutting in and out

I have a Ferris is1500, when blades are engaged the seem to cut in and out randomly. Could mow fine for 20min or could cut in and out for 20min. Any thoughts? I don't think it would be pto clutch bc it's electric so I would imagine it would just die then cut in/out..any help or thoughts would be very helpful.
