Cutting blades..

Hi guys. so my venture of getting genuine blades for my mower is endless.im just too far away from u all in australia,
but i have found an almost perfect pair of gator blades. that fit perfect. it clears the deck though when the 2 blades meet in the middle they are slightly too close knocking the tips off the blades. i need to cut or grind about 2-3 mm off the ends and they would be perfect.
my question is if i do this and balance the blades will there be any issues do u think.? spindles??
