Can I put a Kohler engine on a Kubota Zero turn?

Kubota ZG227 mower has a blown kubota kgz770-e2-ma2 gas engine.

I thought I read somewhere that it is pretty much the same as a Kohler engine.
27 hp Kubota replacement engine seems much more expensive since limited places to buy one.
